Sutton United manager Paul Doswell relishing top of the table clash with Ebbsfleet United
Sutton United manager Paul Doswell is relishing the prospect of a full house at Gander Green Lane as the National League South leaders host second placed Ebbsfleed United.
Speaking at an AtTheMatch Networking Event where he was guest speaker, Doswell expects a close game in what many are calling the title decider.
“Ebbsfleet have been top all season and rightly so. They flew away with it at the start and we had our traditional slow start.
“We had a team meeting on November 5th and from that moment on we haven’t lost. It’s gone 23 games unbeaten but there are a lot of variables in football, mainly one of them is luck.
“We’ve caught Ebbsfleet up with three games to go, we’re a game in hand, and have a better goal difference.
“It’s a classic game. They’re bringing a thousand, which is brilliant, and it’s one of those days that you dream of. As a manager and player you want that. It should excite you and not make you nervous.”Click here to stay up to date with AtTheMatch
